Wines produced in the Netherlands? That makes us immediately enthusiastic! A while ago we made a trip to Tegelen in Limburg to taste the wines of Domein ZAVEL. We have selected the absolute top wines and they are now available in our assortment, ready for you to discover!

At Domein ZAVEL they tell the Limburg story through the wines they produce. Stories about the soil, the grape, the farmer and the location. They capture a grape, a vineyard, a season and a climate in a bottle: a time capsule. Every year is different, but always in the style of ZAVEL: lively and shaped by nature. At ZAVEL they work exclusively with organically and biodynamically grown grapes from friendly farmers. They will soon also introduce wines from their vineyards. Our wines show how nature, the soil and the environment enhance the character of a wine. The founders Arno and Joni only use natural processes in the wine cellar, only intervene when necessary and avoid artificial methods; Low Intervention. The grape is central.

Who is behind Domein ZAVEL?

Arno and Joni, two friends from the South, with an age difference of almost 20 years, started ZAVEL in 2021. Their idea? To make the purest and most terroir-driven wines from the best biodynamically grown grapes, as locally as possible and with the shortest possible lines between producer and consumer. With care for nature, the craftsmanship of the winemaker and above all to make an honest, unadulterated wine that people can enjoy. With respect for traditions but above all unadulterated, pure, lively and contemporary.
